The mayor of the capital city of Somalia, Mogadishu, Mohamed Teri, has accused the Eritrean government of forging the Somali shilling and holding it responsibility of the security problems which Somalia is suffering, particularly Mogadishu.
He said that the Eritrean government supports the Somali opposition through printing fake Somali shillings and provided them with arms to abort efforts for peace and stability in Somalia. He described the Eritrean authorities as an axis of evil in the region of the Horn of Africa. He hinted that his administration is setting up plans to strengthen security measures in the capital.
Teri's accusation against the Eritrean government came at a time when the Somali government opponents have escalated their attacks against the government and the Ethiopian forces which has been doubled reinforced its presence with tanks and heavy weapons at various locations in the city.
