The Somali prime minister, Nur Hasan Husayn, has severely criticized Eritrea and describes it as a wicked state in the region. Meanwhile, he praised the role of the Arab states through provision of financial and logistic support for the Somali transitional government.
He warned Eritrea against the consequence of its repeated interference in the internal affairs of Somalia. He asked the Eritrea to refrain its activities to abort stability and peace efforts in Somalia. He explained in statements to the Ethiopian newspaper the Herald that the Eritrea role in the region has been negative since long time. Furthermore, he asked the Eritrean president, Isayas Afwerki, to abstain from unjustified interference in Somalia.
Nur's criticism against Eritrea was the first of its kind since he has assumed his new position.
