Agencies: adoulis

The Ethiopian government has announced last week that more than 600 Eritreans flee to Ethiopia from their country because of president Isaias Afwerki's regime. The Ethiopian ministry of information said in statement from which the Agency of France Press has received a copy that "it becomes hard for the Eritrean people to endure the dictator regime because it is connected to terrorist and leads the Eritrean people to state of extreme poverty and endless suffering."

The ministry added that more than 600 Eritreans flee their country and cross the border to Ethiopia seeking an asylum.

Meanwhile, it was not possible for any independent source to confirm the number of Eritreans who flee their country every month. However, according to the UNHCR,

a camp in Shimalba nearby the border of the two countries contains more than 13,000 people.
